Food had no flavor. Restaurant was dirty

They offer a vast variety of delicious food. I like eating here. Staff members are always very friendly, rates are convenient and the place is always kept clean.

The food is good enough... but the people/family that run this place are the least friendly people I've ever experienced at a restaurant. After several tries, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, we finally decided not to go back here.

Reasonable & good. The salsa needs to be a little thicker. Its almost as if they use tomato juice as the base.

At the moment you arrive in this restaurant the waiters give you a great feeling. Very courteous hosts, it is a nice restaurant to pass time with your friends or with your date. very good food, professional chief cook and stuff, decent pay and generous service. Warmly recommended.

I love this place! They prepare excellent meals, their menu is varied, The chief cook in that place is very experienced, I love a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are always of high class, the attitude towards the clients is good. I go often to this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend this place.

The waitress is rude and has no personality. She needs to find another job. It's obvious that she is miserable. But the food is really good. But I most likely will not go back. The atmosphere is terrible. Food = 4.5 stars Service = 0 stars

We've been going here for years and we live 20 minutes away. Great food. Not the standard Mexican menu you find in all the other local Mexican restaurants. This is operated by a family who are always friendly to us, accommodate our wishes. Always remember who we are and what we do for work. Best item on the menu? Fish tacos. Yum.

Good food, decent prices

... how do I put this... I would rather forage for greens along side some country road than eat here? Places like this with quite a few good reviews makes me wonder if they are generated by friends and family.... yes the food was that bad for three people. And when we asked to send the one plate back we got a whole lot of attitude about it.... the mexican chain restaurants are leaps and bounds better than this place!

It is a cozy place, nice, and clean, but The food it's just okay. I didn't like the ground beef on my burrito. I prefer the real beef

Reasonable prices for tasty food. Good selection on menu. Cold beer. Quick service. After a long day driving, this place was perfect.Our last visit was not as good. The shrimp tasted of chlorine. It is not a good idea to buy from the cheapest supplier.

The food was great. The service was very good. Very nice people.

Last week was the first time in this fine restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We had great time with the attentive service, with the great dishes and fine drinks and with the friendly payment. We will no doubt visit there in a short time.

The salsa and Chile relleno were great. Had an “enchilada” that was grilled chicken wrapped in a cold tortilla with what looked and tasted like nacho cheese. Couldn’t eat more than a bite. Told the waitress we didn’t like them and they still charged us full price.

Always enjoy stopping in for lunch. Great food, fast service. Wonder staff. I'll be back again and again.

Food is always good

If your in Higginsville stop at El Toro Family Mexican Restaurant. My husband and I went to this restaurant and fell in love with the food! I had the Dos Amigo with half pork and beef with red and green sauce with beans and rice inside the burrito. A generous portion of white and Colby cheese topping. The homemade salsa was just wonderful with the different seasonings and spices and a little kick of crushed pepper. The margaritas we had were awesome too!

It's a good place to eat.

How do you mess up refried beans? This place can do it. Food had no flavor except the "red sauce". Red sauce tasted like watered down spaghetti sauce. I wont be going back.

I eat in this spot a lot since I work close by. I must say the customer service is always fantastic and they keep the place well organized regularly. Prices are fair and they serve big portions.

Food needs more seasonings for my liking. The salsa was good. The food came out quickly.
